Hello,

last night I observed with some friends the Perseids on VLF. Our setup was a
notebook (we had a car battery as powersupply)
and an amplifier (with LM358N OP-AMP) for our frame antenna (200 turns; 85cm
on each side; no parallel capacitor -> broadband receiving)
The results were a little bit disappointing. We didn't see anything in the
waterfall diagram (SpectrumLab) and we heard nothing meteor related, but
whistlers. (of course microphone amplifing was activated in the sound
driver)
The antenna was in an angel of 30° to ground.
Somebody got an idea what we are doing wrong?
This evening we're observing again another direction, maybe that gives
better results.

Many greetings

Julian

P.S: We saw a very big fireball across the sky at ~ 21:44 UTC (direction was
approximately southeast)
