Dear fellow observers. Please forgive the informality of this report but felt I had reasonable success this morning.

Sunday 18 Nov 07 3:45 a.m. - 4:45 a.m.
Clouds: 50% plus Tansparency: 4/5
Seeing: 4 Moon: Set
Temp: 40 degrees
Wind: 3 to 5 out of the SE
LVM: 5.5 (about as good as it gets here)

Meteors Observed:
Leonids: 9
Taurids: 4 (presumably, from the west behind me as I was facing east)
Sporadics: 2
Total: 15

Observed facing easterly through a 60 degree diameter "hole" in the clouds (sometimes a little larger) between the big dipper and regulus. All "Taurids" were headed easterly through this "hole".

All moderate to fast with long short-duration trains. Mag ranged from 1 to 4, typically. All meteors seen during first 45 minutes so hourly rate for that period 'approx. 20'. Not too bad considering I could only see a portion of the easterly sky.

Have a nice Sunday,
