(meteorobs) San Francisco Bay Area Fireball

The meteor being viewed at 30 degrees altitude places it between 0 & 100 miles from observer and also depends on whether it is moving downward toward the West or downward toward the East. 

Both the Easterly & Westerly path directions(the apparent downward motion) would appear to be the same from a single observation point. 

A second azimuth/altitude visual sighting located Northerly or Southerly is necessary to establish its actual position & path into the Ocean or toward Landfall.

Likely it is a very unhappy wet rock....right now.
