We observed the possible SW3 meteors from our observatories
near Venice, distant about 26 km between them:
- Obs: Enrico STOMEO (STOEN)
Loc: Scorze'(VE), Italy, +45.5682 -12.1134 +20 (IMO code 14083)
VideoCamera ccd: Ob.3,8 (field 89.2x68.6)
- Obs: Maurizio ELTRI (ELTMA)
Loc: Venezia Lido (VE), Italy, +45.4139 -12.3764 +10 (IMO code 14230)
VideoCamera ccd: Ob.3,8 (field 89.2x68.6)
>From the literature, we took the following radiants into account,
corrected for the radiant drift:
(sw3-L) Luthen &al. 2001
2006 May 31 rad. 213,+31 lambda 70.13 Vel.17
(sw3-H) Hasegawa 1990
2006 May 31 rad. 203,+30 lambda 69.3 Vel.17
(tHER) Lindblad 1971, Cook 1973, IMO 1988, &al.
2006 Jun 03 rad. 228,+39 lambda 73 Vel.18
(sw3-F) Fox 1985, Kronk 1988
2006 Jun 04 rad. 231,+43 lambda 73.9 Vel.18
and we took in account the sporadic meteors with the minor
radiant distance and with the smaller difference of observed/
/computed velocity.
>From our observational data resulted:
STOEN
May 22/23 -> 1 meteor, radiant (sw3-F)
May 24/25 -> 1 meteor, radiant (sw3-L)
May 25/26 -> 1 meteor, radiant (sw3-F)
May 31/01 -> 1 meteor, radiant (tHER)+ 1 meteor, radiant (sw3-L)
ELTMA
May 22/23 -> 0 meteors
May 24/25 -> 0 meteors
May 31/01 -> 3 meteors, radiant (sw3-L)+ 1 meteor, radiant (sw3-H)
We captured some sporadics too that seem associate to a radiant
240,+52 (May 31, lambda 70.2), perhaps connected with the sw3
debris:
STOEN
May 22/23 -> 1 meteor (simultaneous)
May 31/01 -> 2 meteors (1 simultaneous)
ELTMA
May 22/23 -> 1 meteor (simultaneous)
May 31/01 -> 1 meteor (simultaneous)
